Byron Bay designer Galit Massuri, drew on her passion for collecting remnant textiles to develop the unique signature style of her fashion label. Massuri. Her designs create a Bohemian chic like no other by featuring distinctive fabrics in a fabulous refashioning of classic styles.
Massuri aims to embrace ethical and environmental issues in her label. Every Massuri masterpiece is hand made with love by talented Byron Bay locals and all her designs feature natural fibres including cotton and cotton/silk.
Massuri’s latest summer 2009 collection, the Paper Dolls, is inspired by time when grace and glamour were celebrated in style. The collection captures the style and flair of the chic film actresses of the 40’s and 50’s such as Rita Hayworth, Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren. . Special attention has been paid to ensure that each piece pays homage to its movie star muse, resulting in a design that is just as individual as their inspiration.
